Hi, I have been asked to become a carer for my Dad but I PIP and UC just wondering how this would affect my benefits? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post any help would be gratefully received.

Hi and welcome
Yes you can claim carers element on your UC and still get PIP as long as the caring you do doesn't contravene the reason you get PIP
You need to care for him for over 35 hours per week and he needs to be getting PIP daily living and not claiming sdp
I would get some expert advice first before doing anything
