Assessment is being Audited.

Hi, I phoned DWP today to ask about my recent ESA Assessment and was told they haven't received it yet as it was being audited.  Can anyone tell me what this means?  Is it DWP who does the audit or the assessment company?  Thank you

Some assessments get quality checked before being released into the wild. That's all it is. They're selected randomly. It has nothing to do with you. It's just about them testing the quality of what they do. Generally it's an internal audit.

It will, I think, be an internal assessment provider audit. Random assessments are audited as part of their quality control processes.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

My mums got an internal audit.

The assessors name and the auditors name were both on the report.

Took about 2 weeks for DWP to get the report after the assessment.
