How long do I have before I lodge an MR?

my award letter later is dated the 17th march 2021 how long do i have before i lodge a mandatarory reconsidferation ? how many weeks as whe i contacted PIP by telephone the lady there said 20 days from date of award letter letter but i think this is wrong ? any ideas

You are supposed to do it within one month from the date of the letter but can do so at any time up to thirteen months from the date. If it is more than one month DWP can refuse to accept the MR but if they do you can appeal the original decision to the tribunal service.
