Email about decision being made (Tribunal stage)

edited April 2021 in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA
Hello. My mum has had her court case in regards to PIP the other day (she suffers from stage 4 osteoarthritis) and yesterday they have sent her an email from HMCTS saying a decision has been made and that a letter will come in the post by the 13th April.

I'm attaching the image so people can see.
Just wondering whether this is gonna be a good news sign? And whether anyone knows if they email this as standard? As surely they wouldn't take the effort to email if it was just going to be a no in the post? And also the part about contacting DWP about this benefit (when you're told not to anymore once it's at tribunal stage)

Anyone know, any thoughts? Anyone get this email before being turned down?

    Hi there

I haven't seen this before but obviously we are in strange times

It doesn't mean anything other than what ir says a decision has been made

It will say about contacting dwp as once the court have made decision they send copy to dwp and it is then dwp who put decision into place

So any queries then about payments are down to dwp not court

Let us know how you get on

Thank you @janer1967 in your quick response.

As you can imagine it's so frustrating knowing a decision has been made and having to wait now until possibly as late as Tuesday next week especially when my mums been going through this now for over a year.

Just fingers crossed for her now and a waiting game. ??

I know how frustrating it may be but this is the last stage so will all be over

Fingers crossed for your mum it might get to her quicker if post is quick

    Let us know the outcome

Hello @Samus1993 and welcome to the community.

Not seen an email like that before, but as mentioned above it doesn't imply the outcome of your claim, but hopefully you get a positive one. Let us know how you get on

There is space to put an email address on the paper version of the SCS1 form. ? May have updated since you last known or because of the current climate?

So how did they acquire an email address? There’s no space for one on the paler SCS1 form as best I recall.
There is on the 2020 forms. Can’t remember on the previous version.
