How long do you have to wait for a uc50 assessment? My son applied in September and is still waiting

how long do you have to wait for a uc50 assessment. my son applied sept 20 and still waiting for an appointment. any help much appreciated .

    Hi and welcome to the community 

    That is a long wait have you tried to chase it up 

    However you are not the first to say that there are massive delays but I would call or put a note in his journal mark it payment or service query then his case manager should see it 

    Let us know how you get on

    Thank you janer1967. Yes keep calling and told on list and get no response on uc journal.  They are quick to Sanction you if you don’t respond to their questions. Just such long to wait. I’m sure he is not alone in this wait.

    I know unfortunately that is the price of claiming benefits 

    Some people get their local mp involved it didn't help me but others have said it did for them

    To be clear - your son has had the UC50 and returned it in September?
