How long does it take to get a decision after the PIP assesement?

DWP say about 8 weeks but there is huge variation.1

Hi @Karolka92 - the average wait is about 8 weeks; so for some it's a shorter wait, but unfortunately longer for others.

My assesment was on 22nd june still no decision yet but call and ask for your assesment report to be sent to you this will give u an idea of your award gd luck x1

I had assessment on the 18th June and my backdated payment went into my account on the 8th July1
