Hi @Justcheckingin15
I hadn't heard about this, so I had a quick look online. Is it the Philips machines recall you're referring to (gov.uk)? Has yours been recalled?
P.S. I've moved your post out of the PIP category into our disabled people category. -
Hi @Tori_Scope,Yes...My partners Philip's Cpap has been recalled..along with others..quite worrying.
-
I see @Justcheckingin15. I can see how that could feel worrying. It does say on that gov.uk page thatReports of incidents related to this issue are rare, and no incidents of harm have been reported in the UK.Have they said when, or whether, your partner will be supplied with an alternative device?
-
He has already received a new one....very very quick..The recall is Global!
-
Philips have said that 0.03% have reported problems with the device..but having said that.. the majority of users would not contact Philip's.. they would prob contact their Health Care Provider, not connecting any possible problems with the device itself.?

I imagine that could be a factor @Justcheckingin15. I'm glad that your partner received a new one quickly! Fingers crossed they'll fix the problem, and that as few people as possible will be harmed by it.

Let's hope so @Tori_Scope
