I've grown up with Harry Potter @Grinchy and I also enjoy what they've done with the Fantastic Beasts films, though I do feel like they're spinning out the story to perhaps make some more money(!)
Do you have a favourite one from the newest films?0 -
thanks @L_Volunteer, and @Alex_Scope i'm enjoying the storys i think the secrets of Dumbledore is my favourite, don't have that one yet but i enjoyed it at the cinema , i quite like the series, i think as long as they are making money they will come up with new characters and storys0
-
I've not seen that one yet @Grinchy but I'm looking forward to getting around to it And that's true, new characters and stories to see is a positive spin on it!0
-
I hope you enjoy the latest movie @Alex_Scope, its very interesting, miss johnny Depp as grindelwand, but mads mikkelsen does a good job
So i was going through ebay looking for stuff, found this batman bluray display, it was less than 6 pounds delivered, so i jumped at it, i'm hoping when it comes it is this version and not a mistake, fingers crossed

That's a very cool display @Grinchy I hope it arrives okay too! And thanks, I'm sure I will enjoy watching Secrets of Dumbledore soon0
-
Thanks @Alex_Scope, and i think it is cool to have a collection @KyaFranklin, we had the internet cut out tonight just when we wanted to watch a movie, so we popped a bluray on instead, i like streaming but i prefer to have the disc on hand, would love to see your collection0
-
Sounds like having the disc on hand was very helpful @Grinchy, especially with the internet cutting out0
-
thanks @L_Volunteer, yeah i'm glad we have the movies on hand, internet drop outs are getting more frequent, cheers0
-
So i had some inheritance to spend from my Nan, i bought some star wars goodies and a few steelbooks for the collection
first up the stephen king movie IT from the eighties, Tim Curry at his manic best
And the recent remake which i quite enjoyed
next up the clive barker movie nightbreed, a few friends of mine worked on the special effects of this, a decent horror movie
And then star trek 6 directors cut,0 -
The increased internet dropouts sound really frustrating @Alex_Scope. The new movies look great!
Do you have one you are particularly looking forward to watching soon? Hope you enjoy watching them all0 -
thank you @L_Volunteer, i am looking forward to star trek 6, i am a trekkie to as well as a star wars fan,but unlike wars i only collect the movies and tv shows, in this new version, there are new scenes i haven't seen before, which should be good0
-
That sounds really great @Grinchy! These colder and rainy days make me want to watch movies even more.
I don't know about you but I am starting to feel in the mood to watch Halloween and Christmas movies - are you?
I hope you enjoy watching the new scenes you haven't seen before. I will look forward to hearing all about them0 -
thanks @L_Volunteer, i made a mistake bought the wrong version of star trek 6, doh! doesn't have the deleted scenes in, but its still a nice edition, live and learn, always in the mood for both halloween and christmas movies, we watch them year round here, i see the christmas channels with cheesy hallmark movies have started again, love them, lol0
-
Finally bought the right version of p6, just bought a new 4k tv and player, so i decided to buy the 4k disc, finally be able to watch the discs i've collected over the past year or so

You are welcome @Grinchy. Oh no - hopefully, now you will also be able to see the version with the deleted scenes.
As you say, you always learn from your mistakes. Enjoy watching it, I know how long you have waited to watch this0 -
thank you @L_Volunteer, yeah i'm a plonker, lol, i will enjoy it0
-
Just in time for halloween, heres the movie box set on bluray 1 to 9, yes they are daft, but i like them, you will never see the end of him until they stop making money, lol, i enjoyed the latest movie, halloween ends at the cinema, they tried something a bit different with it, anyway can't wait to watch this on my new 65 inch telly that comes tomorrow,

"Plonker" @Grinchy You did half make me smile/chuckle when I read that!
Thanks for sharing your Halloween collection with us. Always worth it if you like it, especially as you get to watch it on your new TV0 -
Thanks @L_Volunteer, glad i made you smile,
The new tv is ace, its massive, already watched a few movies on it, very cool, i watched the wizard of oz before, in 4k, it looks amazing, definitely worth the upgrade, even standard blurays look good on the tv0 -
I bought a Spider-Man Trilogy DVD boxset (the one that's directed by Sam Raimi) yesterday.0
