So i had some more vouchers from CEX trade ins, got these three movies on 4k, first up Home Alone, just a great christmas movie, hard to believe its 30 years old now, i remember going to the cinema to see it, then waiting for the vhs to come out, how far the formats have changed
Next up the next two star wars films from the original trilogy, look great on 4k, i'm glad i won't have to buy these again, i've bought them on every major format over the years, VHS/ laserdisc/ dvd/bluray/ and now finally 4k, i can't see them redoing these in a new format, there are some 8 k tv sets, but with nothing to play on them apart from 4k, i can see them fizzle out, i'm glad to have them and didn't cost me anything

And the wonderful films continue! Thanks for sharing them with us @Grinchy. With your movie insight, I am not surprised you have too many favourites to mention!
How wonderful that you can trade in movies and receive discounted movies. I hope you keep enjoying these movies0 -
I'm not to keen on movies but I'm pleased that you are all too0
-
Hey @L_Volunteer, yes its good you can trade in movies, love them, always have, loosing yourself in a movie is great, hey @durhamjaide2001 if we all liked the same things life would be dull,0
-
So i did another trade with a collector friend, got Robin hood prince of thieves on the way, collectors edition, heres a pic of what you get
I have not seen it in years, but love the story
next up Gladiator, again haven't seen it in a while but love the story, and the movies score is ace, highly recommend both if you can see them

I like the illustrations with Robin Hood @Grinchy, do you often get opportunities to trade?0
-
Hey @Alex_Scope, i have had about ten trades this year through a facebook friend i found, we both get a good deal on a swap, anything to save a bit of money0
-
That's good to hear @Grinchy, every little helps as they say

It's great that you can do that @Grinchy. I particularly liked your comment about being dull if we all liked the same thing0
-
Cheers @L_Volunteer, yeah i believe that, if you don't like something that someone else loves, theres no harm in it, live and let live.
We went to see the new Avatar movie, really enjoyed it, has a strong family message at its core, a long movie though 3 hours0 -
so i was browsing Ebay and found another item for the collection, i already have the standard bluray steelbook, but don't have the 4k edition, so i bought it, christmas present from the wife and kids, now i can sell on or trade the standard edition, this should look good in 4k, the standard bluray picture looks great, the 4k makes the colours pop apparently, its a cool little movie from 1986 originally, i can remember watching it at the cinema way back then

Great find @Grinchy. Have you watched it through in 4k yet?0
-
Hey @Adrian_Scope, not here yet, should be this week or next sometime, i'll let you know how it looks0
-
Hey @Adrian_Scope came today and watched it, really impressed with the colours, and it just overall looks better than the bluray
Also spent the rest of my christmas money on an offer i put in on a 4k of Elf, they accepted which is good
