Cheers @C_J, yeah he is a cool character, i first saw the movie as a kid, and was blown away by the visuals, and the effects, finally got the boxset after waiting since halloween, it looks brilliant on 4k.
So i am a big fan of Christmas movies, and Santa Clause the movie, is a firm favourite, its finally being released on 4k, and bluray with a new scan of the original elements, had it on preorder a week or so, and its showing as despatched so should be here soon, can't wait!

Oh the Hellraiser movies are my favorites! Excellent find there grinchy!
Santa Claus the Movie has always held a special place in my heart. David Huddleston makes such a great Santa and Judy Cornwell as Mrs Claus was just perfect.<30 -
Cheers @Albus_Scope, yeah the movies are great, goes downhill after the 4th, the later movies were existing scripts that had pinhead and co added to them, and you can tell
Yes Santa Clause is a great movie, love the acting in it, Dudley Moore is perfect, and John Lithgow as the villain, just chews up the scenes with gusto, and i agree, they perfectly cast Mr and Mrs Clause1 -
John Lithgow is such an amazing bad guy, he always nails those roles. And I can never fault Dudley Moore in those roles.1
-
thanks @Albus_Scope, i agree they are both talented guys, so i am waiting on this to arrive, Bill Murray is ace in this, its a great christmas movie

So i have just bought this movie Titanic on 4k, the wife and i enjoy the movie, i have it on bluray, but it should look better on 4k, the special features sound interesting to

I watched Titanic ages ago, it's a sad movie but good0
-
I've still never watched Titanic, I think the song related to it put me off.0
-
If I remember correctly it's a bit of a love story which I think would trigger my anxiety and depression these days but I enjoyed it as a child, has a bit of action scenes in it as well, I don't know if it is very realistic or not?0
-
Its a love story, but the actual story is very factual, its worth a watch if you haven't seen it,0
-
The set is supposed to be fairly faithful to the real thing too, they worked really hard on it. It's really cool to be able to see the insides of the ship recreated from the plans and photos almost exactly as it was back in the day. And some of the characters are representations of real passengers on board at the time. So some of it is realistic, and some of it is made up.
I always end up on a bit of a deep-dive (pardon the pun!) after watching it. The film is alright, but there's something really compelling about the event itself!0 -
I agree @Rosie_Scope, the event itself is so harrowing, but fascinating to, the movie does a great job with the story0
-
So i just got this in a trade with another collector, the blu ray of the Dr who specials, really enjoyed the 3 specials, and there's lots of behind the scenes info on it to
