Hi
I receive iidb. It didn’t need review until March 22 and this date was given at tribunal in 2019. I put in a change of circumstances as I was unable to return to work after the accident. I was given ill health retirement. I’m 48 receive high rate pip on both and in the support group esa. I worked full time. I have a few questions if anyone is able to answer please
i have my medical on Wednesday this week and it’s stressing me out a little. I have written a statement to take with me so I don’t forget anything. I have recently been diagnosed with ankolysing spondyloarthritis which affects the joints and inflammation. My injury was a lumber back injury and I’m concerned they will take award away stating I’m not entitled to it as it’s due to new diagnosis
What are the chances I will loose what I already have?

And if I do loose it does it stop ASAP or the date it’s due to end?
Thank you in advance

@wilma48 sorry to hear that
Was the new claim for idustrial injurys aswell
would that not be included in your change or circumstances anyways ? So why make you have 2 assements
i would get and consultants letters you have about this and ring ask for envakope send in copies or take with you on day and they will take photo copies if think revelavent to the claim
i had mine couple of days ago that was a change of circustances but was due my reveiw anyways .And if you back problem pre date this disgnoises you shouldnt lose the award but not quiet sure how they judge it it does explain on direct gov but confuses me .I had lumbar problems because of mine then which caused various other issues but sll dud to accident i had knock on affect so to speak .0 -

No solicitor for iidb claim ….. I had a phone call today to say that I need to have a further assessment which is what they are waiting for …. They still won’t tell me result of change of circumstances….. I can only guess they are waiting so they can aggregate them all together…. Let’s hope lol0

You don't need any solicitor for any benefits claim. Try this https://advicelocal.uk/ put your postcode in and choose the topic "welfare benefits" it will tell you what advice agency is local to you.
Even if you have represenation for a Tribunal, they won't be able to speak on your behalf. You are the claimant and you are the best person to explain your conditions.
