Should I ask for a copy of the report?

Hi everyone new to this forum today. Im here for pip advice please..
My husband has recently been diagnosed with austim adhd hypertension side and sever social anxiery. Sent form 9june had telephone assessments on 4th oct and got text this morning saying they are recieved paperwork and can take up to 8 weeks for decison.. ive been reading bits about getting copy of the report shall i do this?

Hi and welcome to the community
It is up to you if you request a copy of the report
Just remember it isn't the decision and only the assessors recommendation
The decision will be made on all the evidence submitted
Personally I wouldn't but that's my view1 -

Some people ask for the report, some don't. Although it often causes more anxiety than you may already suffer from, especially if the report isn't quite what you expected.

Yes ill leave his report and just wait to hear. Does it normally take the 8 weeks to hear back?0

Waiting times can vary quite a lot, so it's difficult to say exactly how long it'll be unfortunately @lisa1827. I hope you don't have to wait too long!1
