‘As you were’ comes to mind
i don’t believe things will ever change
it’s partly our own fault - we are just not as noisy in the injustices as our friends in the BAME, LGBTQ+, extinctions rebellion and various protest group communities are
The disabled community just isn’t loud enough over everything else (though we don’t find it easy making ‘noise’) which makes us an easy target and (what at times feels like) a few individuals basically ‘smearing’ the disabled and encouraging negative stereotypes has not helped the matter
the only ways things will change as a whole is if the disabled community makes a stand as a whole rather than little pockets - just with everyone being’ loud’ these days, noise won’t cut it alone - the disabled community needs to get smart and get inventive1 -
I agree with apple85 so how can we do this? Any ideas?1
