Hi, How long is the wait until i hear about my ESA assessment appointment?
I think that my form must be lost in the post as i have heard nothing since i returned the form and am constantly being threatened with benefit determination, the day after I post my fit note?? Is this normal? as It has made me more anxious, more paranoid, more stress/migraine headaches, since i claimed it(ESA; sent in the form that was posted to me).

Hello @frangipan and welcome to the community.
Sorry to hear that you've had quite a wait since sending off your form, how long has it been?

Hi,I would say its unlikely that they haven't received your form, if they hadn't there's a high chance you would have heard from DWP asking you the reason why you haven't returned the form. They are very strict with returning this form and if it's not returned you could be found fit for work. As this hasn't happened they most likely have received the form. The backlogs are huge for work capability assessments and some are waiting several months. There's nothing you can do but wait until you hear from them. The reason you sometimes receive a letter saying your benefit will stop if you don't send a fit note is because these letters are automatically generated if they don't receive it by a certain date. It can take several days to receive a letter from DWP once they send it.To save sending by post you can send it digitally here. https://www.gov.uk/send-fit-note
