Welcome to the community, it's lovely to have you here with us all.
I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences throughout lockdown. You've clearly been through a challenging and turbulent time, and I can imagine it's been stressful and upsetting for you. If you don't mind me asking, how old is your son and is he currently receiving mental health support at all? If so, are they aware of his past suicidality? I also wanted to ask if you were receiving any mental health support via your GP or anyone else? It's so important that you're talking to people who you trust and can offer you emotional support during this time too
I think decorating your house sounds like a wonderful idea and will be so lovely for you, as it will create a safe and relaxing space for you to wind down/relax in. Would these home improvements involve making adaptations due to your disability? If so, this is something that you might need to talk to your local council about. I will also move your comment into our housing category, in the hope that our other members will reach out and offer any support or share their experiences.
