My son and pip assessment

Hello,
My son had his PIP assessment on Monday. He has special educational needs and said he was at university which isn't true due to his condition. I have sent a letter to the DWP saying that he isn't at university and sent a letter from his old School which states he has a statement of special educational needs. Have I done the right thing?
