Am I entitled to the 1 bed LHA?

Hi!!

I wanted to double check as I just received my UC statement and it says I have the shared allowance, am I correct in saying as I receive PIP enhanced daily and mobility but am under 35 I should receive the 1 bed LHA?

Hi,

Yes, daily living PIP qualifies you for the 1 bed rate of LHA. https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/benefits_for_under_35s_in_shared_housing

You can check here what amount that is. https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/

There may still be a shortfall, depending on how much your rent is.

Yes that is correct. Post a message as a payments query. I note that my housing element appears to have been restricted to the LHA shared room rate. As I am in receipt of daily Living PIP I believe I am entitled to the one bedroom rate. Please amend my award accordingly. 

Obviously you will get less than the one bedroom rate if your actual rent is below it (in which case lucky you).
