Hi im new here. I applied for pip 17th August didn’t hear back from them till i got a random call on the 18th Jan . It was a women from the assessments she said she needed to ask me a few questions to see if I needed a telephone assessment or a f2f. It only lasted 10 mins and at the end she said congratulations you’ve completed your pip assessment. I got a text a few hours later to say they’ve received my written report. Then on 27th Jan my care coordinator received a letter from Dwp about my pip . She said she would complete it and return it on the 28th. My question is has anybody been through this process? How long do you think I will be waiting for a outcome ?. And would having children affect my claim ???? I’m so stressed with it all I’ve not slept for days.

Timescales vary. It could still be a few months before you get a decision.
Having children makes no difference to your PIP claim.
Try not to think about it, there’s is nothing you can do at this stage.0 -
Just a update. Had my decision letter today and have been awarded pip. So the letter my care coordinator got has nothing to do with my decision. Will find out Wednesday when I see her what it was for . I’m so relieved as I’ve been stressed about it for weeks since my telephone call. Thankyou so much for the reply.1
