Sorry I'm struggling a bit with my thinking today.

I read this:

2) anxiety can be used within the scope of descriptor 1D,

This descriptor is most likely to apply to claimants with cognitive, sensory or developmental impairments, or a mental health condition that results in overwhelming psychological distress, who cannot, due to their impairment, work out where to go, follow directions, follow a journey safely or deal with minor unexpected changes in their journey when it is unfamiliar. A claimant who suffers overwhelming psychological distress whilst on the unfamiliar journey and who needs to be accompanied to overcome the overwhelming psychological distress may satisfy descriptor 1d.

A person should only be considered able to follow an unfamiliar journey if they would be capable of using public transport – the assessment of which should focus on ability rather than choice.

I can't work out if I'd be eligible (appeal stage)

I am unable to use a bus. Not by choice but for mental health anxiety and PTSD reasons.
I could possibly (with a script of tranquilizers/ diazapam, and perhaps in the distant future) imagine myself possibly boarding a plane with another person for support. well, I hope at least.
But not on regular basis, like a bus would be. I don't associate planes with my trauma.

I also suffer from panic attacks in unfamiliar places and need someone I trust with me to calm me down and feel protected.

Does this mean I would not be eligible for anything under planning and following journeys?

If you were boreding a plane which as you say, is not as often as bording a bus, a plane is more likely to be taking you on unfamiliar journey. So you say you do not associate planes with your trauma.  So it is highly likely you will score 0 points for this question.

What happens trying to use a plane specifically is not relevant as it isn’t something you would be doing on the majority of days,
