I had my report come today and she has lied, I have a large goiter and I choke on my food so it has to be purified and she scored me 0 points but I sent off evidence for that and said I can cook a meal unaided but everything else I need a aid so does the decision maker go with the report because she has contradicted herself so much in the report??

When they write the report, it's their opinion based on everything you sent and what you said during the assessment. It's not there for them to write what you said verbatim. The report becomes part of your evidence. Before making the decision they should look at everything you sent as well as the report and then make a decision. The report is not the decision and this is why it's not always a good idea to request the report. Once the decision's been made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.0

Thanks poppy I’ve been stressed all day because of it but I’ll just wait for the decision hopefully not long now0

No my goiter causes swallowing very difficult for me and I have heart rhythm disorder breathing problems and osteoarthritis in my hip and knee and severe weakness as I’ve lost 5 stone in weight I am now 6 stone0

It sounds as though your combination of conditions does affect you quite a lot @dayz1703. I'm a little concerned to read about your weight loss. Are your medical team aware of how much weight you've lost?0

Aw bless you @dayz1703
I'm sorry to hear about your stress, but like Tori above I'm concerned about your massive weigh loss, do you get it monitored my lovely?
If it comes to the report itself I hope they'll make a positive decision in your favour, I know its extremely stressful to await decision as I'll be awaiting now , I posted back my PIP review form this morning, but for my own sake I'm not keen on requesting the report before I get written decision from them, only if the outcome will be negative for me only then I'll request the report.
I went however through the appeal and tribunal process with ESA and won and trust me my ESA assessor "lied" in the report on every question, but my advise to you my lovely, please don't use word "lies/lied" when talking to DWP or judges or any kind of officials as they won't see it kindly I'm afraid (not from my experience but someone elses). I myself used in my opinion fantastic word DISCREPANCIES instead lies and won. Not trying to criticise you at all, just a tiny adviseBest of luck darling, everything crossed for you and positive outcome in your favour!!! X

thanks everyone for your lovely comments, I’ve had someone look at my report and they think standard rate care and high rate mobility but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what the decision is1

I’ve been awarded standard care and standard mobility for 3 years. I’ve been told that you can get premiums on universal credit is that right??0

You get extra money if you are found to have Limited Capability for Work and Work Related Activity following a Work Capability Assessment. This is separate from any PIP claim/award.
However, as a result of the PIP award
If you have other people living with you who were expected to contribute to your rent they will no longer be expected to contribute
If you have a partner on the claim they can claim the carer element in UC for looking after you (provided they do not already get the LCWRA element).0
