HI i recently had my PIP tribunal but did not appear in person as was unfit. I received a text message and an email today 3/2/22 saying a decision has been made and i will receive a letter within 7 days. Is it possible to obtain the decision over the phone ?

You will need to wait for the letter.

Regardless what the letter says, the postal service has no way of knowing what it says and therefore can’t factor that into a delivery time.

No. A decision is a decision and is posted and delivered in exactly the same way regardless of content.

Good luck, I'm still awaiting a MR from over 6 weeks ago, If I still get refused, I will be going to a tribunal too.

Hi, I had my tribunal on the 31st Jan. was told the outcome an hour later when the judge had had time to discuss it with the rest of the panel. The next day I had a text message to say the decision had been made and I’m now awaiting the DWP to contact me about payments plus back payments

Be aware that can take quite a while. DWP first have to decide whether or not they wish to challenge the tribunal decision (which they don’t often do) before sorting out you payments.

Even under normal times 3 weeks is very optimistic. It could be anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer.

Agreed. Judge saying three weeks is absurd as DWP have a month to request SOR if they wish to.
