HI i recently had my PIP tribunal but did not appear in person as was unfit. I received a text message and an email today 3/2/22 saying a decision has been made and i will receive a letter within 7 days. Is it possible to obtain the decision over the phone ?

You will need to wait for the letter.1

Thanks calcotti I've heard people saying you receive the letter quicker if the decision is favourable is this correct0

Regardless what the letter says, the postal service has no way of knowing what it says and therefore can’t factor that into a delivery time.1

Hi @TayBri thanks for reaching out with your query, I hope our members have reassured you. Is there anything you really enjoy doing to focus on while you wait for the letter?

Good luck, I'm still awaiting a MR from over 6 weeks ago, If I still get refused, I will be going to a tribunal too.0

Hi, I had my tribunal on the 31st Jan. was told the outcome an hour later when the judge had had time to discuss it with the rest of the panel. The next day I had a text message to say the decision had been made and I’m now awaiting the DWP to contact me about payments plus back payments0

Be aware that can take quite a while. DWP first have to decide whether or not they wish to challenge the tribunal decision (which they don’t often do) before sorting out you payments.Stratford said:.. I’m now awaiting the DWP to contact me about payments plus back payments0 -
The judge told me that if i hadn’t heard anything or have been paid after 3 weeks then to contact the DWP0

Even under normal times 3 weeks is very optimistic. It could be anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer.0

Agreed. Judge saying three weeks is absurd as DWP have a month to request SOR if they wish to.poppy123456 said:Even under normal times 3 weeks is very optimistic. It could be anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer.0
