Unexpected Phonecall…

Hi, I applied for PIP in June. Had my assessment in October and was refused 2 weeks later… I applied for a Mandatory Reconsideration in early December with help from a lovely lady. I didn’t hear anything from them until middle of January which was a text message to say that they had received the MR.
So, I got a phone call today from what I think was a decision maker? he asked me a couple of questions and asked if my bank details were still the same and I said yes and also told him that I had been put on medication for my anxiety now. Is the phone call normal?
He said that I will get a call at 2pm to let me know their decision is this a good thing?

It’s not the norm but equally is not unusual. You can infer nothing from it other than that the DM wanted to check some things before making the decision.1
