I get AA. Can I get mobility allowance?

Hi I have Spinal Stenosis had bowel cancer op 1 yr ago, so have toilet problems i.e. stoma , also have had 2 strokes over the last 6 yrs or so , I get a small attendance allowance tried to get it increased due to my stoma causing mess increased washing in the house etc that was declinedby the dwp, can i get mobility allowance and how?do I apply

    Hi,
    If you're claiming Attendance Allowance there's no mobility part to this. Mobility applies to PIP and those that are state pension age and above are unable to claim PIP.
    You will only be entitled to the higher rate AA if you need help/supervision during both day and night. If this doesn't apply then the lower rate you're currently claiming is correct. Lower rate is for those that need help/supervision during either the day or night.
