Hi @imc1
Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. I am sorry to hear you are struggling today. However, I want to say well done for finding the courage to reach out for support.
Unfortunately, PIP is not my area of expertise. This means I am hoping someone with more knowledge in this area is able to respond to you soon.
However, in the meantime, I wanted to respond to greet you and to say we hear you. If there is anything we can do to help, please just let us know!Community Volunteer Adviser with professional knowledge of education, special educational needs and disabilities and EHCP's. Pronouns: She/her.

Hi,The length of time the assessment took means nothing at all other than they had all the information they needed. Assesment times can last anything from 15 to 120 minutes depending on how much information they need. The majority of people claim PIP successfully with no problems at all. I think it's impossible to predict anything at this stage.A decision can take anything from 2-12 weeks. Once it's made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) any new decision will overrule your current award from the date the decision is made.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
