I spoke to my nurse today who told me that she spoke to the woman doing my assessment and she said I had been awarded, however I could take 8-10 weeks? How come it takes so long if you have already been awarded? Thanks! x

It sounds as if she meant the assessor has recommended that an award be made. However the assessors do not make the award, that is done by a Decision maker who has to look at all the other evidence as well as the assessors report. That is what you now have to wait for.0
