Hi, I know there is a big backlog of claims, I applied for pip at the beginning of Nov 21, I received a text a week later saying that they had received my claim.
since then I have heard nothing, why do some claims get dealt with quicker than others?
The not knowing if I’m going to be awarded anything makes my anxiety worse.

Hi,You will most likely need an assessment by either telephone or face to face before a decision is made on your claim because most people have them.Timescales vary accross the country so you can't really compare your claim to someone elses.Once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted. Until then there's nothing more you can do but wait.0

Hello @Linmac111 and welcome to the community. I know it's frustrating to hear, but there's likely to be a fair wait while your application is processed. You should hopefully hear about an assessment appointment once one becomes available as poppy has mentioned.
Uncertainty is sometimes unsettling, but until you hear more try and put this to the back of your mind if you can, and focus on things you enjoy, and which make you happy. Do you have any coping strategies you like to use when you feel very anxious?
If there's anything you're still unsure over, please do say, and we'll help as best we can

Thank you for the advice, obviously reading peoples different experiences, it does get a bit overwhelming.
I know that worrying about it doesn’t make things go any faster, thanks again😀0 -
