Hi I am new here 👋 I currently live in north wales in a 1 bed flat with a housing association, I am needing to move back to Liverpool in England to be near family and friends for support with my mental health because I live on my own in wales , I receive ESA support group & PIP mobility component &living component, and housing benefit £92wk If I find a private property can I receive extra housing benefits because of my disability? Also can I receive help with first weeks rent and a deposit ? Hope someone can help thanks 😊

If you change local authority you will not be able to claim Housing Benefit at your new address. To get help with rent you will need to claim Universal Credit. This will end your ESA claim (it will stop two weeks after you claim UC).
If you are 35 or older your PIP makes no difference to the amount of help you can get with rent. The maximum amount of help is set by the Local Housing Allowance.
Search for Local Housing Allowance rates by postcode or local authority : DirectGov - LHA Rates (voa.gov.uk)

You can apply for a discretionary housing payment https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/claiming-discretionary-housing-payments/claiming-discretionary-housing-paymentsnickynoodle38 said:Also can I receive help with first weeks rent and a deposit ?
