Hello all,

So my Doctor is sending me to a psychiatrist for an Autism/ADHD assessment but it could be 6 months- 2 years away. Is this a confirmed diagnosis and do I need to report this as a new condition? Or do I wait until I’m actually diagnosed with the said condition…

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Even if you get a new diagnosis you don’t need to report it. Your work status is based on how your illness affects you, not on what the illness is. Putting a name to your health condition doesn’t affect the impact it has on you,
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.
