Casting Call for Documentary about Mixed Ability Friendships
WOULD YOU LIKE TO FEATURE IN A DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT MIXED ABILITY FRIENDSHIPS?
Beyond Mother Love is an upcoming feature documentary produced in partnership with Vue Cinemas about mixed-ability friendships between people who are disabled and people who are not. The film follows one family’s quest to find diverse friendship groups (outside of family members or paid carers) that have formed between people who have learning disabilities, cognitive impairments or Dementia with those who have none of these.
Are you or someone you know in a friendship that includes both people with and without disabilities? If so, the producers would love to hear from you. Visit www.beyondmotherlove.com for more information or to nominate yourself or someone you know.
Selected participants would be filmed in their daily life together and— for those who are able— to talk about the highs and lows of being friends together.
The documentary is being made in conjunction with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London who are undertaking a qualitative research project on the same subject as part of the making of the film.
You can contact the producers directly at hello@beyondmotherlove.com with any questions or concerns you may have and they can also provide information on safeguarding policies, data protection and any other legal or ethical questions you, or anyone else might have.
Please copy, paste and share this with anyone else you think might be interested too.
