i have been on sick now over a year, i am 64 years old with severe nasal polyps. nose completely blocked. had an appointment today at job center, i said my fit note does not run out until may . they said you will need to come in weekly even though your handing fit notes in. i said whats the point im not looking for work until i have my operation. she said you will still have to come in,

When you claim UC you’re classed as a job seeker until a decision on a work capability assessment says otherwise.It’s a work coaches discretion whether they reduce or turn off work commitments. Some do and others don’t. If you don’t do what’s required you could be sanctioned.Have you filled out and returned the work capability assessment form?0

yes sent it off today. but i know i will fail it, as i can walk and move my arms. failed twice before for them reasons
