My son is receiving Univeral Credit.
He wants to avoid moving to a bigger house by building an extension on his current house.
Would his UC be affected if I paid the builder's invoices directly from my own bank account?
These payments are not intended to be a gift, but a friendly loan which I am happy to have paid back as when he can manage, over a period of months or maybe years.

No, it won't affect his UC.

It's good that you are willing to help your son out with this so he doesn't need to move. He must be excited by the prospect of the extension.0
