ESA Payment not been paid

Hi,
I was supposed to have received my ESA payment the end of March and haven’t received it? I’ve only just gone into my bank account to find out that no payments have been received since 15th March. I get them every fortnight. Has anyone else had the same issue?

I'm afraid we can't answer that question and you'll need to ring ESA because only they can tell you exactly what's happened.

Hi @poppy123456 yes thank you I will contact them in the morning, I was too late to contact the, today. I was just asking if anyone else has had the same issue in case there’s something wrong, as have never had this happen before0
-
There are numerous threads on the forum with similar headings about people not getting paid. Usually it's a technical glitch which ESA can rectify once it's brought to their attention (but obviously this may not always be the case).1
-
I can imagine it'd feel quite worrying @Pandapaws! Have you been able to call them yet this morning?0
-
@Tori_Scope Hi, yes thank you I’ve got through to them this morning and they’re trying to get it sorted for Me today, obviously some glitch that they said they were aware of.

Fingers crossed they'll sort it out for you today then @Pandapaws
It's obviously not good that they're experiencing glitches, but are you feeling relieved it's not an issue with your specific claim?

@Tori_Scope yes I’m so relieved about that. My mind was doing over time! Not great for my mental health!0
-
I can imagine @Pandapaws. How's your mental health at the moment?1
-
@Tori_Scope it’s not too bad thank you. I’m trying the calm app which is really good. And where we’ve moved too being in the countryside has made a huge difference. Just being outside with nature makes me feel so much better. Thanks so much for asking, I had to ring the dwp again this morning as they didn’t call me back. Apparently they’ve known the issue since Monday and haven’t done anything about it. The man I spoke to was really helpful and assured me that he will escalate it and make sure I have the payment today.0
-
I've heard good things about that app, but haven't used it myself @Pandapaws. I'm glad you've found it helpful
Spending time outside in nature can definitely be really good. I find even a short 20 minute walk outside can lift my mood and help to clear my head.
I hope it gets sorted today! Please do keep us updated.

@Tori_Scope hi yes it’s lovely to be outside. We live near a Beck surrounded by trees and fields. I always find being near water is very calming too.
pas for my ESA payment it still hasn’t been put into my bank 😡the man I spoke to mentioned something about they did my claim wrong? And that they’re now having to redo my claim from the start and that it’s nothing for me to worry about? I don’t know what’s going on and I didn’t think to ask why? (Cogfog didn’t help)
no doubt I shall be ringing them again in Monday0 -
I've heard this happening before to others that have posted here. They have to rebuid your claim but in the meantime they can definitely make a manual payment to you. It may take weeks for them to rebuid your claim so manual payments will need to continue while this is being sorted. If you haven't had payment on Monday then you'll need to ring them again and this time ask for a same day payment for what they owe you.1
-
Morning @Pandapaws I'm sorry to hear what's been happening, what a hassle! Please do let us know how your call goes on Monday, if you do need to call them.
Fingers crossed it gets resolved soon for you, and let us know if we can help support you further

@poppy123456 they said they were going to request the payment to be made yesterday but surprise surprise it hasn’t. It’s getting really annoying now! I don’t know what they’re doing as I’ve been on it for over 8 years0
-
@Alex_Scope thank you so much! I will keep checking my bank account over the weeken but I doubt any money will be sent through. It’s really annoying what’s happened! I’m sure the government wouldn’t like it if we didn’t pay our taxes etc, but it seems to be ok for them to make errors and not pay0 -
It is frustrating eh, and does sometimes feel like that with the government!
Do you have anything nice planned this weekend to help take your mind off things?0 -
@Alex_Scope my plans are to rest 😌 have a sinus infection, have just started antibiotics yesterday, so a, hoping they will clear it up, and get back to my normal soon 😌
do you have any nice plans0 -
Aww no, sinus infections are not nice at all, glad you've got some antibiotics, and I hope you feel better soon. At least the sun is shinning, at least I hope it is for you too!
I'm working today and tomorrow, but next weekend I'll be seeing my partner for Easter, so I'm looking forward to that, thanks for asking0 -
@Alex_Scope yes thank you we do have the lovely sunshine ☀️ and have been out in the garden for a little while. We have a farm at the back of us and I can here the little lambs whic is really cute ☺️ I’m sorry you’re having to work! (Boo 😆) but I hope you have a lovely time with your partner next weekend1
