Son just spent days writing the form out for me as too painful to write for more than a few words! We are going to take photos of each page to keep a record for me! I am wondering if many people have been asked to go see specialists prior to any award or refusal? I have many conditions and put as much info on and added prescription list and hopefully can get photos printed of some conditions and appointments and have had xrays and blood tests! I have read horror stories of people attending PIP interviews and am hoping this is not the case for old people and attendance applications! Please help alleviate my worries as stress brings on one condition causing much pain, any advice welcomed!

You won’t need any assessment for Attendance Allowance. The process is usually very quick.
Its not about a diagnosis either. It’s about the help that you need, regardless of whether you receive any help or not.If you need help either during the day or night then it will be the lower amount. If you need help both day and night it will be the higher amount.

I had called for a form but did not receive one so called again they put that date as the date called so I added on the form that I had called on the original date so maybe they will, if awarded any, use the original date, as I was told to make a note of that on the form! They blamed the post for the non delivery, but the supposed 2nd form sent by them arrived very late 17 days after 2nd phone call, each time I called to say I had not received either form they said it was the postal service issues and bank holiday issues!0

Thank you folks for the help/advice much appreciated and a relief I should not be sent for torturous interviews which some people have had to suffer1

My claim for Attendance Allowance did not require an assessment.
It was all dealt with very quickly and about 5 weeks after I sent the form off there was a payment into my bank account. The award letter arrived a few days later.1
