LCWRA PAYMENT

Hello bit confused. I applied for UC on
7/9/21. Due to having trouble getting a fit note I didn't receive one until 2/12/21. But the doctor backdated to the 7/9/21  But had trouble adding it to journal. Eventually added my first fit note on 20/12/21. I sent in another one after that and then my last fit note was from
25/01/22 to 25/04/22. On the 26th Feb was awarded LCWRA without assessment. They said they can't pay the first few months due to fit note being sent in late even tho backdated. I have not had any LCWRA payments as yet. I'm due my normal payment 13th of May. Will I get LCWRA payment then and am I due any kind of back payment. 🤔  Any advice would be much appreciated.

The extra money is not paid at all during the waiting period, which is 3 full assessment periods. Then it’s paid from the 4th.
Your waiting period is Jan/Feb, Feb/March, March/April… LCWRA starts from 7th April to 6th May and first payment is 13th May.
No backdated money is owed because you didn’t send a fit note within 7 days or reporting your health condition. Unfortunately backdating a fit note doesn’t help.

Hi I find that strange, because with myself, with giving in sick notes, I had my lcwra assessment and a week later, I got a back payment of over £3000.

If you had sent in fit notes for the whole time, without gaps then how much is owed will depend on exactly how long you waited. Some won't be owed as much obviously.
The OP didn't send in a fit note within 7 days of reporting the health condition. The backdated fit note hasn't been accepted.

In a previous thread you said you reported your health condition in November 2021. If found to have LCWRA then the extra money isn't paid at all during the waiting period. It's then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition.
This means that the extra money for you will be paid from either March or April 2022, so a lot less than popdiva, who was owed more than £3,000.
Of course if you or a partner worked at anytime since you reported your health condition and you don't already have the work allowance then you will be owed some extra money because the work allowance will apply from the assessment period in which you reported your health condition.
