Welcome to the community @eadie
Thanks for joining!
That sounds tough. I'm sure he's not the only one to be feeling this way, so you've come to the right place.
What kind of support do you feel you could benefit from? For example, do you feel you need some emotional support to help you manage this, or do you feel he needs to be receiving some mental health support?
Has he been able to explain why he doesn't want to go outside?
Is his GP aware of this?
I've moved your post into our children, parents, and families category, which you might want to take a browse through.

Hello @eadie! A friendly welcome to you on Scope.I am so sorry to hear that, it must be difficult for your son. It is understandable some people might be feeling anxious about going out after shielding for a long time. Perhaps seeking some counselling therapy for anxiety may be useful?0
