Hello,
I got a text this morning saying
‘We have awarded you PIP. We have sent you a decision letter explaining the award. Please allow 2 weeks to receive this. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.’
Can I take this as good news?? that I’ve been successful and will be getting more money support soon?

The text must be a new thing because they've never sent texts this way before. Someone else this morning posted that they had a text saying they were awarded and their decision letter will arrive in th enext couple of weeks. If it's a first time claim and you weren't transferring from DLA then any money owed is usually in your bank before the decision letter is received.1

Yes it is good news. Is it a new claim - in which you will be getting a payment into your bank account, otherwise you may just get the same amount as you were getting or you could get more money. You will need to check the details of the award when you get the decision letter and make sure you agree with the points awarded by the decision maker. Good luck and keep us posted.0

that’s what i thought @poppy123456 because everything I’ve read says it comes in a form of a letter, that’s why I’m confused0

Fingers crossed for both of you !1

I’ll be super surprised if i have won straight away as it’s the first time I’ve applied and was mentally preparing to appeal the decision so if I have won after a simple phone call I’ll be happy but shocked0

The majority of people claim PIP successfully without any problems, we just rarely hear the good stories.
