Pip, though it could take up to 20 days to receive payment?

Help I need some advice,
I made a pip claim back in January, I've had both the assessment and decision. I received a phone call a week ago saying it would go into my account in 7-10 days.
I then received a text yesterday saying I have been awarded pip, though it could take up to 20 days to receive payment.
Can anyone get in touch about this or your own experience in receiving payment.
Thanks folks...

Hello there @danlaws111 and thanks for joining the community
I don't know for certain, but the increased wait for payment might be down to knock on effect of the bank holidays and jubilee weekend?
I think if you haven't received payment by the end of this week, you could always call for an update on it.
Keep us up to date with how you get on, and if you have any questions in the meantime please ask.

Thanks so much for your advice.
I wondered if that would have any effect.
I will post when I either received the letter or when I have received payment.
What an excellent site and community.

Once payment is made it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank.0

I've now received a text yesterday evening stating that they have received my assessment and that I will hear from the dwp in up to 8 weeks.
I'm really confused and my anxiety is really high.
I don't understand after receiving a phone call and a text to say I have been awarded pip, that I now have received a text stating that they will give me a decision in 8 week.
Help I'm worrying what's going to happen now0 -
I think the only thing you can do is ring PIP and ask them because they are the only ones that can tell you what exactly is going on. The tex message could have been sent in error. The number to ring is 0800 121 4433 and they are open between 9-5 Mon - Fri.

I'm on hold now. I hate talking on the phone0

Wow just spoke to dwp. They said it was an auto generated message, and my back payment will go in tomorrow.
Phew.
They sure know how to stress you out eh.
Thanks to everyone for their support and advice. I now longer feel it's me against the world.1 -

Only good news today.
My long awaited pip claim has finally materialized.
Checked my bank this morning and all monies owed were paid.
That will help so much with my. Day to day living expenses.
I want to encourage anyone that either hasn't yet made a claim who thinks they might be entitled to do so. The forms are a bit overwhelming but get a support worker or C.A.B. to help you.
If you have already made a claim then pe patient. Mine took 5 months.
Well worth the wait and now the energy price rise isn't so daunting
Thanks again to everyone for their advice.
Good luck and have a great day.1 -
