Hi I applied for pip 4th December 2021, and had my Assesment last Tuesday and a few hours after I got a text from DWP saying they received my Assesment and will here from them within 6 weeks!! I’ve already waited 6 months any idea how long this will take as waiting is torture?

Hi mayac98 and a warm welcome from me to the online community.  Unfortunately, there are  delays in the PIP process and you could well be waiting at least 6 weeks for a response. However, on a brighter note you will see that some of our members do receive a decision quickly.  I do hope you receive a decision sooner rather than later and do let us know if you need any help and support once you receive the decision.   Take care

Welcome to the community from me too @mayac98 :) I'm glad Sue was able to get back to you, and answer your question.

How did you find the assessment?

I found the Assesment quiet difficult as I suffer from OCD intrusive thoughts what I am on medication for I’ve had this disorder since I was 4 and it ruins my life so it is hard for me to talk about but the health professional was so lovely and nice x

Hi @mayac98 - & welcome to the community from me too. Well done on getting through the assessment; you're through the worst part. I'm pleased to read that the health professional was lovely. :)
