Mandatory reconsideration for backpay

In my previous post I explained all about how much hassle I have had trying to get uc to pay backpay for LCWRA.
Upto now they have refused and so I have asked for a mandatory reconsideration.
Two questions.

Has anyone else had to go down this route to get money they are owed?

What are the chances of my money being paid to me after the decision maker has re assessed?

I would like to hear other peoples comments or stories if this has happened to them.

thank you x

That isn't what the rules require. The status of LCWRA should be backdated to the date on which the health condition was reported evidenced by medical evidence.  The payment of the LCWRA element itself is then payable with the fourth complete UC monthly period after the health condition was reported.

The date the UC50 was submitted has no relevance.

Bibliokelp I haven’t had a letter. I asked in my journal why We haven’t had any back pay and they said We wasn’t entitled to any. The letter we had in the journal said my husband was LCWRA and if we were owed any money we would be told within 7 days

@hjford I am in the same position as you - and countless others. The procedures of UC are clear - LCWRA should be backdated to 3 months after submitting.

That’s not how it works. The jobcentre have told me it starts from the first time you submitted a fit note/medical evidence, then you wait three months and payments begin from the forth month.
