You will only receive extra money if the decision was Limited Capability For work Related Activity (LCWRA) please check your decision letter see exactly what the decision was. There's no extra money if the decision was Limited capability for work (LCW).0

hello not quite sure how this works but Here goes I was already claiming U/C work preparation group when I had my stroke after 8 months in hospital I was discharged I was unable to access my journal so contacted U/C by telephone and had requested a health assessment form on more than 3 occasions when I finally got access to my journal I was told that nothing changes I stay in the group, it wasn’t until I contacted CAB Who then advised me, to again request a health assessment did the finally say they would look into it, that was back in January I have now been awarded LCA after a video call will I get any back pay what is the protective filling date thanks

When you say LCA do you mean LCW or LCWRA?
If you were already on LCW and reported a change of condition and the decision is now LCWRA then that decision should be backdated to when you reported the change. What date does your letter say the LCWRA has been backdated to?0 -
Yes it’s LCWRA0

When claiming UC you won't receive anything by post. Letters are uploaded onto your journal. If you haven't received the decision letter how do you know what the decision is?

I was awarded it on the 9/5/2022

The decision letter from the health assessment is in my journal that’s where it says I was awarded it on the 09/05/220
-
It should be backdated to the assessment period in which the changes were reported.

It a work capability letter from U/C. They said any money owed I will be told how much and when I will receive it. They said I will receive confirmation of this within 7 days that’s now been another month I’ve tried asking but no reply.0

In the case where a reassessment is carried out as a result of the claimant reporting a change in their health the decision should be backdated to when the change was reported.
Spooky, I think you need to point out to UC that your reassessment was carried out as a result of you reporting a change and ask why the decision has not been backdated to when you did so.0 -
