Im new on here and seeking for some help. Please is there anyone here that could advice me about receiving PIP for my own disabilities. I am also a carer for my autistic child. How would this affect my PIP application for my own difficulties i have and them using it agaist me for being a carer to not award me points? I'm quite stressed out and has anyone else also experienced this of not being awarded points because they found out that you receive carers. Any tips and help would be much appreaciated. Thanks

Lots of people claim carers allowance and disability benefit theirself. I'm one of them. Providing your caring duties don't contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP then there shouldn't be a problem.I claim PIP for physical conditions but my caring duties aren't physical. No one can tell you whether a PIP claim would be successful because thay will depend on exactly how your conditions affect you.0
