Does my Pip backpay count as savings on top of my work related ESA? I've been getting it for 2 years now after a long waited appeal and it exceeds permitted savings allowance.

Backdated money is disregarded for 1 year. If after this year your total savings exceed £6,000 you must report the changes to ESA and there will be a £1 deduction for every £250 or part there of over that amount. Savings of more than £16,000 and all means tested benefits stop.
