PIP Assessor question

I was asked by Atos assessor(unarranged phone call) they asked me 3 questions . And one was "do you drive an Automatic car?"
Any ideas why they asked this? and would they not know that i already have a mobility car that is an auto.
Just wondered what the reasoning is behind such a question. I briefly explained(as i didnt know the call was coming and wasnt at my best by a long chalk) and told her that due to my physical pain etc..its far easier for me to drive an auto. I couldnt think of anything more to say at the time...
