Got the dreaded form to tell my pip assesment will be carried out on 13th July not looking forward to this as I havde heard capita aren't the greatest bunch. Also the doctors and hospital records I applied for weeks and weeks ago still haven't received them so going Into this with balls all medical evidence. If only pip was easier than the lcwra of universal credit which I didn't need an assessment for. Wish me luck folks gonna Need it

Hello @Kennym2022
Thanks for telling us about your upcoming assessment. It's normal to be nervous or anxious about them, especially given the amount of negative experiences we read about online. While the assessments aren't perfect by any means and have flaws, the majority of them still go down without issue. I'm sure you'll get a nice assessor, and hopefully you find the anticipation of the assessment to be worse than the assessment itself.
have you made any notes ahead of the call? It might be a good idea to write down some pointers about how your condition impacts you in relation to the descriptors, so that you can have them as prompts during the call.0 -
I photocopied my forms so I can answer everything and add on more won't be caught with my pants down that's for sure0

That's positive to hear @Kennym2022 it sounds like you've prepared really well
Let us know how you get on with your assessment, and if you need anything in the meantime, even if it's just a chat about your day, the community is here for you.0 -
had to cancel my assessment as I got struck down with covid again fs. Been bed ridden since last weekend was worried it had turned to bacterial pneumonia thankfully after drips and monitoring and five days in hospital I'm home now with assessment being re scheduled0
