Award amount or Back pay?

Hi all,
After getting some advice from members earlier(thank you,by the way)I have a quick question.
I received a text last Friday saying I've been awarded PIP so was advised to call them regarding the rates etc.
I did so and the automated service told me the amount I was due and the payment date(August 4th).I just wanted to double check that's the amount I'll receive each month and not the amount owed in back pay?Sorry if it's a daft question, this is my first time actually being awarded PIP.

That would be related to your first payment, not the money that's owed. Although you shouldn't rely on that information on the automated line because it has been known to be incorrect.

The text messages are a new thing but i've not heard of anyone receiving one in error.

@ella65 did you get yours ok?Mine went in this morning and going by that plus what the automated service said my first payment would be,it seems like I've been awarded enhanced for both!Happy days as when I applied for it 3 years ago,I was given no points whatsoever, despite having the same conditions then as I do now!2

ella65 said:@Poelover yes it’s in will make such a difference to me, paying off debts etc! I had 3 assessments (it’s been a nightmare process) and one of those was zero.. and I’ve been awarded enhanced/enhanced. just shows it’s not a fair system.
@ella65 I'm so happy for you,it can be such a horrible process. When I first applied 3 years ago I ended up taking it all the way to tribunal and still didn't get it.The tribunal itself was so traumatizing that I couldn't bring myself to try again until this year.It needs changing.0 -

Would you mind if I asked you was the automated payment correct x0 -
What option do you press for automated service please?0

I'm not 100% certain @soniaj but you should be prompted to press a number when you call, and might need to answer some security questions to access the automated service.
