Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone can give me some advice... So I had a working capability assessment on the 11/03/2022 I looked online to see how long it would take for a decision and on the website it says 4-6 weeks. But it’s been 4 months now and I’ve still not heard anything back. I contacted universal credit and they said there was no set time frame for the decision and that I’d hear back when I hear back.. which isn’t much help.. so just wondering how long other people had to wait to hear back about the decision..

4-6 weeks is very optimistic. The guide at the moment is 12 weeks, sometimes longer. If your assessment report was chosen for audit then this can delay the decision making process considerabely. Hopefully, you'll have a decision very soon. Once it's made the letter will be uploaded onto your journal.

Hi @metcalfe34 and welcome to the online community
Sorry to hear that you have been waiting a while for your decision outcome, a lot of people are in the same boat at the moment. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for youThis is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

Glad you signed up @metcalfe34. How are you finding the signing up so far?
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with universal credit. Hopefully, someone with more experience in this area will be able to respond to you soon.
I can hear how you feel frustrated with universal credit - being rubbish and no help at all. I hope the links help but if we can do anything else to support you, please don't hesitate to let us know0
