The Christmas bonus from DWP comes to mind here from last year. The qualifying week was first week of December 2021. If your PIP award started before that time then this ios likely be what it's for.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

That's right, the "Christmas bonus" is always £10, and hasn't changed I don't think since the benefit started- though I could be wrong. It's been like that a long time anyway.

I do sometimes wonder why it hasn't gone up over the years, since the cost of most other things in life has.

    Glad you've got it @Itsasecret :)

You’re correct. Introduced in 1972 and has been £10 ever since. Would be about £100 now had it tracked CPI. Introduced by the Edward Heath Tory government I think it was originally supposed to be a one off but then got repeated for a few years and then made permanent but value never changed.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.
