Hi all,
I thought I’d share my relief.
I thought I’d share my relief.
I have multiple things affecting my quality of life including severe anxiety, autism, ADHD and childhood trauma. I’ve spent so long trying to fit in to normal life and burning out. I felt like I was drowning. Despite the cost of living crisis, I knew I couldn’t survive on full time hours for much longer, which was especially difficult to decide as I have two small children.
At the same time I put in the request to drop my hours, I also applied for pip. I found out quite quickly that my part time hours were approved. It was nerve wracking with the wait to see if I was awarded PIP though.
I applied on the 15th March, and today, 19 weeks later, I’ve discovered that I was awarded!
As someone who has refused to ask for help for so long and is only just reaching out, it is definitely worth it!
