Hi all, I'm new here.
Just today I was awarded pip, standard rate for both living and mobility.
I currently am on a joint claim for income support with my husband and I have 2 children under the age of 16. I was wondering if I would be entitled to disability premium please and does it get back dated to the original pip claim?
Thanks in advance x

Yes, you will be entitled to disability premium (couples rate) of £51.60/week from the start of your PIP award. If your PIP started before the April increase then the weekly amount would be slightly less than the figure i quoted. It should be automatically added to your Income Support. If for some reason it doesn't get added then you will need to ring IS to tell them about your PIP award.1

Oh that is a relief thank you, I'm currently at 11 weeks today since applying for pip so I imagine back pay will be 11 weeks and I'm due my income support next week. Thank you for your help x0
