Hi guys, i applied for pip for the first time a couple of months ago after putting it off for the longest time due to how stressful it would be. I filled in my form in april in believe. The other day out of the blue i got a phone call, it was completely unexpected and i had no prior notice, it was someone asking about my form and went over about 5 questions with me, i tried answering the best i could given the situation, the whole call lasted only about 10 minutes. I can't remember much about what was being said at the end as i was quite flusstered but the following day i recieved a text from DWP saying they recieved a written report of my assessment and i will hear from them within 8 weeks. Is this normal? Did the phone call i had count as my assessment? I am quite worried as i may have not properly explained everything in a 10 minute out of the blue call, thanks

You will have had a paper based assessment. These are rare but they do happen. The call you had was just to ask some questions before the report was written and returned.

Hi @Turtle0
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
As poppy123456 has said, this does sometimes happen. I can imagine that it would've taken you off guard a bit! I hate getting unexpected phone calls, especially when they're calls that turn out to take up quite a lot of brain power.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the decision. Please do keep us updated.
Are you happy with the kind of evidence you included in your forms?0
